WELCOME

Member participation is vital to the success of any union. We are committed to increasing the opportunities for our members to be an important part of all of Local 16’s business. One of the best ways for you to participate is to serve on a committee. The committees will have real authority. They will be directing the Local’s agenda, along with the Executive Board, in their area of responsibility. The list of committees follows.

The ideal structure is one member from each E-Board Unit on each committee but interest in the subject and a willingness to contribute matter more than structure so we will happily accept members on committees regardless of their Unit.Read the list and descriptions below and then tell your E-Board Representative which committee you want to be a part of. We will make announcements of committee membership and ask the committees to get to work as soon as we can. A note: We will arrange appropriate training for committee members as needed. A concern that you may not possess enough expertise today should not, in itself, deter you from volunteering.
